FAQ’S

Your most asked questions, answered

I am new to meditation, what do I need to know?

Come as you are. We teach the foundations of meditative practises for everyone. Even if you are an experienced meditator, we encourage you to come with a ‘beginner’s mind’.

What do I need to wear for a class?
It is entirely up to you. We encourage you to come in comfortable clothing. The idea is to drop in as a break in your busy day. You also have the option to change in our changing rooms.
Do I need to bring any equipment?
We provide all equipment including mats, cushions, bolsters and blankets. We are happy for you to bring your own if you prefer but please ensure that they are taken home once the class finishes.
How do I book a class?

All classes must be booked online in advance via our website www.7breathsmeditation.com.  We do not accept payment at the studio.

What happens if I am late for a class?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the class to put your belongings away and settle down. Just before the class begins, the main door will be locked and the curtains drawn and we will not be able to accept any latecomers.

What is your class cancellation policy?

We operate a 3 hour cancellation policy for group class bookings and 72 hours cancellation policy for workshops and private classes. If you have booked online and cannot make the class, please cancel this online (more than 3 hours before the class starts) to enable others to attend the class. Class credit will be added to your MindBody account for cancellations that are made more than 3 hours in advance.

Late cancellations within 3 hours and no shows will mean that you will be charged for the class. Where a class pack has been purchased, the class session will be deducted from the class pack.

If you have issues signing in to the iPad at reception, please speak to the teacher or email info@7breathsmeditation.com as soon as you can.

What is the minimum age for attending a class?
The minimum age is 16 years old. Please ensure that you have signed permission from a parent or guardian.
What facilities do you have in the studio?
Our studio is on the ground floor with a spacious disabled wc, equipment storage room, 2 changing rooms and lockers for small valuables.
What is our studio etiquette?

We have a no shoes policy at the studio. All shoes should be removed on entering the studio and stored in the shoe compartments. Socks must be worn where guests have skin conditions on their feet.

No food is to be consumed in the studio including changing rooms and reception area unless it is a specific workshop or event that offers food.

We are a mobile phone free zone. If you have an emergency, please speak to the teacher. In exceptional circumstances where calls need to be taken, please quietly go to the changing rooms at the back so as not to disrupt the experience for others at the studio.

Please arrive before a class in good time, store your belongings and settle in before the class begins.

Where mats are used, please clean them at the end of the class with the paper towels and sprays provided. Meditation cushions and props will need to be returned to the designated storage areas.

What if I forget my belongings in the studio?
We do not accept liability for any loss or damage of personal belongings. It is at the client’s own risk that personal belongings are brought into the studio premises. Any personal belongings that are left in the studio will be kept for one month, after which we will donate the items to a chosen charity.
